Keeping Children Safe
Children have the right to be completely secure from both the fear and reality of abuse, and we are committed to safeguarding all the children in our care from harm.
At UCHP and Multi-Sports we will have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who has suitable experience, training and expertise; they are responsible for liaising with Social Care, the Local Children’s Safeguarding Board and Ofsted in any child protection matter. Currently, the Playscheme Manager, Assistant Playscheme Manager, Playscheme Administrator, the Playscheme Assistants and the Head of Childcare Services are all trained as DSL.
The University Holiday Provision's Safeguarding policy complies with all relevant legislation and other guidance or advice from the Cambridgeshire Safeguarding Partnership Board (CSCP), Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC), Ofsted and other childcare regulatory bodies.
