Children/family activities in and around Cambridgeshire
There are various sites including:
- Day Out With The Kids on this site you can search for activities/events by location as well as age group.
- The University of Cambridge What's On provides a selection of events at the University of Cambridge open to the public.
- Cambridgeshire.net provides information on events/activities, groups, clubs & organisations and courses, including parent/toddler groups, story-time at local libraries, parenting & english language courses and sports clubs.
- Hoop is a site that can help you to discover new things to do in your local area, covering everything from local baby and toddler groups to ballet classes and family shows.
Cambridgeshire Child and Family Centres
Cambridgeshire Child and Family Centres bring high quality integrated early years provisions to the heart of communities by providing family services.
There are Child and Family Centres across the county providing information and activities for all families with a child under the age of five. The centres offer further support or introduction to other services, where appropriate. Once you have joined them you can visit any of the centres, or just those that are more convenient for you.
Some of the things they offer for families include:
- access to health services such as midwives and health visitors family support services;
- trained staff who can support you if you need help or want some advice;
- advice about early years education and childcare employment, training and benefits;
- drop-in play sessions;
- parenting courses;
- a meeting place for childminders; and,
- dads' groups.
