Activities
At UCHP we encourage child-led free play and run a range of structured activities to support this.
This can include sports-based activities, group games, cooking or crafts. We provide the children with indoor and outdoor spaces, so that they can enjoy their time with us, whatever the weather. In the warmer months, we regularly play games that involve water and in colder months, we take advantage of our large outdoor space by playing active games.
In longer holidays, the children can look forward to taking part in activities that relate to themed weeks. This summer, we have a science week where we will be making cornflour gloop, experimenting with giant bubbles and conducting kitchen science experiments!
Multi-Sports Holiday Club
At the Multi-Sports Holiday Club, there will be an exciting variety of sports sessions available for your child to try. This summer we will be competing against each other on the athletics track, trying out the sports centre’s world leading fives courts and more! Please visit our Playschemes page to see the timetable for the Holiday Playscheme and the Multi-Sports Holiday Club this summer.
Children do not have to take part in the scheduled activities, instead they can engage with any of our free play resources. At Trumpington Meadows, this can include books, construction toys, role-play resources and sports equipment. While at the Multi-Sports Holiday Club, children can wind down with arts and crafts or we can look forward to playing child led team and group games.
With our team of dedicated Playworkers on site, we will ensure that your child has the best day possible at Playscheme.
