Childcare Services oversee two Stay and Play sessions within Cambridge, offering friendly, supportive environments for University families with young children. These sessions give parents and carers the chance to meet others in the University community while their children enjoy play, social interaction, and age‑appropriate activities.

West Cambridge Stay and Play

Every Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10.30am-12 noon (during school term time) at the West Cambridge Community Room. These sessions are for families with a University connection.  Come along and meet other families!  Toys and singing for children aged 0-5 years.  Registration is required before joining the sessions.

If you are not already registered with the University Stay and Play group, please email childcare@admin.cam.ac.uk with your name (and the name of the person in your family who is affiliated to the University if it is not you), mobile phone number, address and details of your affiliation to the University.  Please use your University email address if possible.

UniCam Babies

UniCam Babies is a group led by University Childcare Services for NVS members and the wider university community and their young children. It is a great opportunity to meet other families and share experiences, discuss child growth and development and of course enjoy songs, games, arts & crafts. We meet on a Monday morning at the University Centre between 10.00 – 12.00.

Registration is required before joining this group – please follow the link: UniCam Babies registration form – Fill in form

NVS

This group supports all university members, visiting scholars, and their partners and families. They offer a variety of events throughout the year, including UniCam Babies, held on Monday mornings at the University Centre. To become part of the NVS community and join UniCam Babies, click HERE.

Please note at both groups that nuts are not permitted, mobile devices should not be used inside the session space, and children always remain the responsibility of their parent or carer throughout.
