Smartkidz Summer Playscheme
Smartkidz' ethos is built around the PARS model of playwork with elements of the forest school ethos also ingrained.
We look at how adventure playgrounds have run in the past, how they run now and how we can bring an adventurous environment to our school settings. With a big push on
outdoor play, active play, loose parts and risk in play, which create the perfect foundations for a child led play experience for the children.
Our staff are trained in how and when to intervene with children's play and use key
methods and techniques to keep play flow at its optimum.
We have devised our own play quality assurance document to ensure all of our settings are meeting our ethos and the necessary requirements to create a fantastic experience for

To offer extra choice for parents for Summer 2023 the University of Cambridge Holiday Playscheme is for the first time collaborating with Smartkidz Learn and Play Ltd www.smartkidzplayandlearn.co.uk
For Summer 2023 University of Cambridge staff and students, Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press Staff (Group A) and College Staff, College Teaching Officers and College Fellows (Group B) can choose to book a discounted place with Smartkidz at the same rate as using the University’s Playscheme. Booking will open for Smartkidz on 6 June. To book please go to the Smartkidz website Holiday Club - Smartkidz, Girton, Cambridge (smartkidzplayandlearn.co.uk). Please note the University’s Childcare Office will check applications to Smartkidz to confirm parents are eligible for the University discount.
