Smartkidz Play & Learn
Smartkidz' ethos is built around the PARS model of playwork with elements of the forest school ethos also ingrained.
We look at how adventure playgrounds have run in the past, how they run now and how we can bring an adventurous environment to our school settings. With a big push on outdoor play, active play, loose parts and risk in play, which create the perfect foundations for a child led play experience for the children.
Our staff are trained in how and when to intervene with children's play and use key methods and techniques to keep play flow at its optimum.

Smartkidz Easter and May Playscheme 2025
We have collaborated with Smart Kidz Play and Learn to provide some alternative holiday childcare. If you are in Parent Group A or B, you can book your child's place at a Smartkidz location for the same price you would otherwise pay for UCHP by emailing info@smartkidzplayandlearn.co.uk.
How to book your child’s place:
- Email Smartkidz directly at info@smartkidzplayandlearn.co.uk and their team will be in touch. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A PLACE USING THEIR WEBSITE. Doing so will mean that you will miss out on your discounted rate.
- Email playscheme@admin.cam.ac.uk to let us know that you would like to use Smartkidz and we will confirm your parent group with Smartkidz.
- Once we have confirmed your Parent Group (associated with the University) with them Smartkidz will send you instructions on how to book a place.
